Paul Johansson Recurs on Final Block of AMC’s Mad Men

Award-winning actor, writer and director Paul Johansson has played many interesting roles throughout his career but his recurring turn on the final season of Mad Men may be one of his favorites.  We think it’s kind of a big deal, and since his episodes began airing he has been inundated with interview requests, many from his home province of B.C.

Johansson told the Victoria Times Colonist that landing the role of McCann Erickson executive Ferguson Donnelly wasn’t that easy: “It was two weeks before I found out I got the job.  It wasn’t like I walked out of the room saying: ‘I nailed it.“

Perhaps best known for the villainous father role of Dan Scott on nine seasons of One Tree Hill, Johansson has also starred in Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, Beverly Hills 90210, Lonesome Dove and has guest starred on several hit TV series, including 7th Heaven, The Drew Carey Show and CSI. In film, he has appeared in Soapdish, John Q, Alpha Dog and The Notebook.

Johansson was recently in Victoria shooting the movie The Last Resort opposite Teri Polo (Meet The Parents).  He is back in LA (with his son Quinn) where he continues to navigate the talk show and interview circuit.
